Danny's 45th Birthday and House Reno Party

On Saturday night, we left the kids with Mum, Dad and Nana, got frocked up and went to Danny's 45th and House Renovation Party which was a black tie affair.

Baking with Daddy

There is nothing nicer than hot scones on a cold day which is why Jessica and Michael did some baking this morning. They were so fantastic, that we invited Nana and G-Pa over to sample the delights!!!

Jessica's New Do

After many a fight with Jessica and trying to brush her hair, I decided enough was enough and we got it cut!!! Now Jessica sports a new do!!!

An easy way of containing Mikki

The best place to contain Mikki when I'm trying to get myself ready to go out is to contain her in our spa!!! She loves it even though there's no water!!!!

Jessica's special talent - photography

Jessica has a special talent - photography. She has really started to take some great photos and without too much help. These photos were taken on Mother's Day and are really quite good!!!

Mother's Day

I had a lovely Mother's Day today. We all had breakfast on the back deck and I was then treated to some wonderful singing and dancing by Jessica and Mikayla. At lunch, I was run a bath and brought a ploughman's lunch and a glass of wine to me. This afternoon, we went over to Mum and Dad's place and had some champagne and nibblies. What a wonderful day!!!

My Real 1st Birthday - 10 May 2008

Mikayla celebrated her 1st birthday on 10 May 2008. She had a great day and was spoilt by Nana, Little Nana and G-Pa when they all came over for dinner. Mikayla is a little capitalist and I didnt realise that a 1 year old could have so much fun with money!!! After playing with money, Nana and G-Pa had a ride of the hobby horses that Michael has made for the girls. We're not sure who had more fun!!!! By the end of the night, Mikayla was a bit tuckered out and was a bit over blowing out candles. Lucky birthdays only come around once a year!!!!

On The Buses

We had a great day in the City with Aunty Teen today. Both girls loved their trips on the bus (see pics at the bus stop). We got home in time for Play School and sure enough Jessica passed out on the couch from all the excitement!!!!

Mikki's 1st birthday party

Mikayla turns 1 on the 10th May. To celebrate this milestone, we had a little celebration in Moolabin Park, Moorooka. Mikayla thoroughly enjoyed herself - so much so that she had a little vomit at the end and then tried to eat it again - classy girl!!! Both girls were extremely tired by the end of the day but managed to stay awake long enough after their much needed bath to open Mikki's presents.
